Paxton is a green diesel shunter who likes steam engines. However, he is very gullible and can easily be manipulated by his fellow diesel engines. He works at the Blue Mountain Quarry with the Narrow Gauge Engines.
Bio
Paxton originally worked on an old, run-down railway (his exact history is unknown). When he and the other engines on his old railway (Norman, Bear, Dennis, Rusty, and Sidney) were bought by Sir Topham Hatt and Paxton was brought to Sodor, he hung out with the wrong crowd (including Norman, Diesel, and Den and Dart). However, he kept his integrity intact, and held back in some of the malicious schemes the diesels carried out. Paxton also did not feel right about a future plan Norman had in mind involving some firecrackers and informed Sir Topham Hatt. Sir Topham Hatt made the proper arrangements to make sure that the plan did not happen.
As thanks to Paxton for his heroic actions, Sir Topham Hatt allowed Paxton to go work at the Blue Mountain Quarry with the Narrow Gauge engines. He enjoys his work with the Narrow Gauge engines and the Pack, and is a hard worker. He especially enjoys transporting slate from the Blue Mountain Quarry to other parts of the island. Paxton has also been spotted helping out with the rebuilding process of Ulfstead Catle.
Persona
Paxton is an easily confused and gullible diesel. He is young, gentle, and good-hearted. Paxton likes steam engines, but the other diesels can occasionally influence him to do things he doesn't want to. He tends to be more of a follower than a leader and can sometimes find thinking for himself and making big decisions difficult. He looks up to Thomas and enjoys working with the Narrow Gauge engines. Although he occasionally makes mistakes, he is a kind-hearted and friendly diesel and is always willing to help a friend in need.
